Recyce Your Bike Program

BIS Bicycle Recycling Program

The BIS Bike Club (aka BBC) wants your bikes. Our Recyce-Your-Bike Project will take your used bikes, repair them, tune them up, and then donate them to a family in need of wheels. Our club's goal is to work on bikes so we don't care what condition they are in - new, old, rideable, broken and in pieces - we will fix them or find a use for the parts. So, ride 'em, push 'em, or drag 'em on over to the BBC workshop and we will get to work.

If you have a bike you want to donate, please contact Rusty Hopewell, Safe Routes to School Coordinator

How it Works:

  • Bikes are adopted out on a first-come basis to BSD-affiliated individuals (students and families).
  • To adopt a bike please come by our bike shop to review our bike inventory (Bike Shop Directions and Map) and stake a claim to one of our many bikes available.
  • Shop Hours:
    • Tuesday, 2-3:30 PM
    • Thursday, 3-4:30  PM
    • Please check our club schedule as occasionally we are closed for meetings.
  • You can send inquiries to Rusty, the program coordinator, keeping in mind that the adoption process works on a first-come basis.
