MISSION

Image
Our goal is to educate our students to their fullest potential so as lifelong learners they will be able to effectively contribute to a changing society.  Students, staff, parents and the community work cooperatively in an educational process that respects individual differences and provides opportunities for all.

CORE VALUES

Image
We value and acknowledge that students and addressing the whole child, both their academic achievement as well as their social/development, are at the center of our work. We must institute the best instructional practices of the 21st century and work collaboratively to improve our practice and change with new learning. We value quality professional development based on a common understanding of what our teachers need.

We value a strong, positive relationship between the District and the Burlingame Education Association that is focused on common goals for our students and is based on good communication and trust.

We value and acknowledge the efforts of our teachers and staff in their work in educating our students. Recognizing that the teacher is the most important factor in a child’s education, the District has prioritized reduced class size and a full school year.

We value the necessity to work collaboratively and acknowledge our current reality. We must strive for financial stability and fiscal health in an era of budget uncertainty so as to make the least amount of possible disruption to our educational program now and in the future.
