Diana Ayllon - District Nurse

District Nurse's Schedule (2016/17)

Diana Ayllon is the District Credentialed Registered Nurse who oversees all schools.  She received her Bachelor's Degree in Spanish with a minor in Education and completed a Teacher's Credential Program at the University of California Davis.  She then returned to school to obtain her RN degree and license in which she combined both worlds she loves into one: educating children and keeping them healthy.  Before she became a school nurse, she did acquire some solid nursing background working 8 years in an acute hospital setting ranging from medical surgical to cardiac units.  She stands firmly beside her belief that all children must be healthy to be educated and educated to be healthy.  She loves spending time with her son visiting museums and attending sport functions.  When she does get some time to herself, you can find her tucked away in her nook with a hot cup of cafe mocha reading a good book (or dancing if no one is looking).

Rusty Hopewell is a Registered Dietitian who has worked in school-site student wellness programs in the Bay Area for the past ten years. He has a passion for food systems, gardening, and cooking and is at home in kitchens of all sizes. He currently oversees both the Burlingame and the Millbrae School District's Student Wellness Programs, spending half his time at each district. Father of two, with one being the pickiest eater he has ever met, Rusty gets how challenging it can be to promote healthy habits within the family. His philosophy is to offer balance so that moderation is an option. Please contact Rusty with any questions or comments at rhopewell@burlingameschools.org or at 650-488-3663.

Fallyn lives in San Francisco and when she's not in elementary school, you can find her on her yoga mat or trying out a new restaurant in the city.
